From Evening Prayer I, Second Sunday of Advent

The Reading

May the God of Peace make you perfect in holiness. May He preserve you whole and entire, spirit, soul and body, irreproachable at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

He who calls us is trutworthy, therefore he will do it. (1 Thess 5:23-24)

from The Intercessions

Free us from the tyranny of change and decay.

Here's something about the cultural American imperialistic hegemony that we talked about via Abu Daoud's blog-post. -- with an anti-Western, pro-Eastern twist, of course...how could it be otherwise?

Oh, and BTW: seems like the Orthodox in America have declared open hunting season for Mexican Catholics there in the U.S. (who seem to be sitting ducks for their evil mischievious hidden agenda).

P.S.: it's not politically correct to call it "prozelytizing propaganda" anymore; ... nowadays it's "mission", "ministry", and "outreach". >:) :D -- but when the tables are turned here in East-Europe, in traditional Orthodox countries, our hierarchs always complain of Catholic prozelytism, propaganda and "sheep-stealing". >:) -- how hypocritical is *THAT*!?

Here's a quote to help illustrate that: " ... as a Church, we don't `rheally` seek to `co-opt` members of another Church, we don't go actively after the Roman Catholics trying to say 'Hey, You should be Orthodox', ... ". -- how demagogic is that!? >:)

P.S.: In case You wanted to visit Orthodox services but weren't able to, don't sweat about it, ok? Josh has got it all figured out and explained:
