More schismatics leading the sheep away from their Shepherd. And what's worse, Hugo Chavez is giving more than tacit support to the "New Catholic Church". It reminds me of the schismatic body that was set up by the First French Republic.
I wouldn't worry too much, Leslie. From the article, it doesn't sound like it is taken very seriously.
And when they ask, "What has the Catholic Church done for the poor all these centuries?" I thought someone should remind them of all the hospitals and orphanages as well as the end of human sacrifice in tribal religions, etc. Venezuela was not Utopia before the Spanish brought the Faith.
